Abstract

Thiadiazole derivatives are reported to have various biological activities including antihyperlipidemia. In the present study a series of N-phenyl-1, 3, 4-thiadiazol-2-amine derivatives were designed using various softwares like Molinspiration, Schrodinger etc. The derivatives with optimum properties were synthesized and characterized using FT-IR, 1HNMR and MASS spectroscopy. In vivo screening for antihyperlipidemic activity in triton X-100 induced models showed moderate activity in comparison with standard.

Keywords: Thiadiazole, Antihyperlipidemia, Triton X-100, Atorvastatin.
